Description
The car is the White Niepoort’s most coveted wine and which has the closest profile to a great Burgundy. When defining its profile, we sought to complement the balance of fruit and complexity from aging in first-year, low-toast French oak from the François Frères cooperage. On the nose, the wood aging translates into toasted notes of hazelnut and brioche that are very well integrated with an aromatic base of orchard fruits, such as white plum, peach, apricot, citrus and some aromatic herbs. In the mouth it has a structure similar to a great Burgundy: elegant, with moderate alcohol and high aromatic complexity. The finish is persistent and long, complemented by an excellent acidity that promises a fantastic evolution in the bottle.
