It all started in 1974, when João António Cerdeira planted a small vineyard plot all with the Alvarinho grape variety in Melgaço. This plot was called « Soalheiro » because, due to its location, it receives sunlight throughout the day.Today, the third generation of the family, siblings Maria João and António Luís, together with their mother, Maria Palmira Cerdeira, continue the family project. António Luís has built a deep knowledge of the Alvarinho grape variety over his lifetime. Maria João takes responsibility for viticulture and has successfully introduced organic production methods in our vineyards.
