Description
Among the great appellations of Bordeaux, the Médoc region is also, we don’t always know, the land of choice for excellent white wines. From the Château Mouton Rothschild vineyard, of which some hectares were reserved for him, Aile d’Argent is impressive proof of this. Harvesting in crates, fermentation in new oak barrels, bottling on the property, all contribute to the production of a white wine of great quality, worthy of the richness and subtlety of its glorious “godfather”. I chose for this wine, on which so many good fairies rely, a name that evokes the memory of my father Baron Philippe de Rothschild. A long time ago, in fact, he had imagined for me, night after night, a story that moved my childhood. To this poetic story, written in the dark hours of the war and published later, he gave the title Aile d’Argent. I wanted this title, which once made me dream, to take shape and color for you too. The magic of words becomes the magic of wine.
