Description
The story begins in 1870. During the war, Joseph Graser fled from the Germans and left Alsace, his native region, to walk to Epernay, in Champagne. He suddenly died in the street, at the age of 44. His son, Armand-Raphaël, had to take over the management of the company and create a wine brokerage business. In 1920, Armand-Raphaël expanded this activity and began producing Graser champagne, which quickly came to be called « AR Lenoble. » « AR » for his initials and « Lenoble » in honor of the nobility of Champagne wines.
