Description
Fernão Favila Vieira was born in 1930 in Funchal and graduated from the Faculty of Law at the University of Lisbon. A diplomat by profession, he served in various parts of the world and was awarded the Commander of the Order of Prince Henry in recognition of his service. Throughout his life, he also dedicated himself to literary, journalistic, and political activities. In his professional career, Fernão Favila Vieira was also a privileged ambassador of Madeira Wine, never failing to serve and offer it on various occasions. For this tribute, I chose, among my favorites, the best wines of the Boal grape variety aged in our cellars over the last 40 years, using the traditional Canteiro method, to which I added others even older. In July 2018, 739 units were bottled, individually numbered.
